✧ We returned with the Messenger of God ﷺ from al-Ḥudaybiyyah until when the Messenger of God ﷺ reached Kurāʿ al-Ghamīm, suddenly the people began to rush toward the Messenger of God ﷺ. Some of the people said to others, “What is with the people?” They said, “Revelation has come to the Messenger of God ﷺ.” So we went out until we found the Messenger of God ﷺ standing at Kurāʿ al-Ghamīm. When the people gathered, he recited to them: “Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory” [Q 48:1]. Some of the people said to him, “O Messenger of God, is it a victory?” He said, “Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul, it is indeed a victory.”
