✧ I missed the Messenger of God ﷺ one night from his bed, and I thought he had gone to his slave woman Mariyah. I got up feeling along the wall, and I found him standing praying. I put my hand into his hair to see whether he had performed a major ablution or not. When he finished, he said, 'Has your devil taken you, O 'A'ishah?' I said, 'Do I have a devil, O Messenger of God?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'And for all the children of Adam?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'And for you?' He said, 'Yes, but God helped me against him, so he submitted.'
