حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ: نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، لَا يَنْزِعُهُمَا، وَيُصَلِّي فِيهِمَا " قِيلَ لَهُ: بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his leather socks, not removing them, and pray in them. It was said to him: After the revelation of al-Ma'idah? He said: Yes.

    يرويه أبان بن عبد الله البجلي وأسد بن عمرو البجلي عن إبراهيم بن جرير عن جرير وخالفهما شريك رواه عن إبراهيم بن جرير عن قيس بن أبي حازم عن جرير وهو أشبه

    machine translationAbān b. ʿAbdullāh al-Bajalī and Asad b. ʿAmr al-Bajalī narrate it from Ibrāhīm b. Jarīr, from Jarīr. Sharīk differed from them: he narrated it from Ibrāhīm b. Jarīr, from Qays b. Abī Ḥāzim, from Jarīr, and that is more likely (ashbah).
