  • Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī

machine translationIn it is Sulaymān b. Dāwūd al-Shādhakūnī, and most of them regarded him as weak (ḍaʿīf).

    in المعجم الأوسط, p. 3522
  • Maghlaṭay

machine translationNone narrated it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Thābit b. Thawbān except Yaḥyā b. Rāshid; Sulaymān b. Dāwūd was alone in transmitting it.

    in المعجم الأوسط, p. 3522
  • Maghlaṭay

machine translationThe hadith of ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb, and his claim that it is broken in transmission (inqiṭāʿ), is rejected by what we mentioned earlier, that it is connected according to a group of scholars. But what prevented us from using it as evidence is the unknown status of the narrator who related it to Ibn Abī Kathīr, even though we had turned away from him.

    in المعجم الأوسط, p. 3522
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationIt was also narrated from ʿAmr in the same way, meaning connected (mawṣūl), by ʿAbdullāh b. al-Muʾammal al-Makhzūmī and Thābit b. Thawbān. In al-Sunan al-Kabīr: it is not established (ghayr thābit), strange (gharīb). He said: al-Muthannā b. al-Ṣabbāḥ differed from them on ʿAmr in its chain, and he is not strong (qawī).

    in المعجم الأوسط, p. 3522
