حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَاجِبٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْفَرَّاءُ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْرُجُ مَعَكَ إِلَى الْغَزْوِ ؟ قَالَ: يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، إِنَّهُ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ الْجِهَادُ قَالَتْ: أُدَاوِي الْجَرْحَى وَأُعَالِجُ الْعِيرَ وَأَسْقِي الْمَاءَ ؟ قَالَ: " فَنَعَمْ إِذًا

✧ Umm Salama said: “O Messenger of Allah, shall I go out with you to battle?” He said: “O Umm Salama, jihad has not been prescribed for women.” She said: “I will treat the wounded, tend the baggage, and give water to drink?” He said: “Then yes.”
