حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

الثَّيِّبُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ فِي نَفْسِهَا، فَإِنْ سَكَتَتْ فَهُوَ إِذْنُهَا، وَإِنْ أَبَتْ فَلَا جَوَازَ عَلَيْهَا

Translation

✧ The previously married woman is to be consulted about herself; if she remains silent, that is her permission, but if she refuses, then there is no coercion over her.
