✧ I was sitting before the Prophet ﷺ while he was mentioning well-being and the great reward that Allah has prepared for its possessor if he is grateful, and mentioning affliction and the great reward that Allah has prepared for its possessor if he is patient. I said: “By my father and mother, O Messenger of Allah, that I be granted well-being and be grateful is dearer to me than that I be afflicted and be patient.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “The Messenger of Allah loves well-being along with you.”
