✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, I am not able to learn the Qurʾān, so teach me what will suffice me to say in the prayer. He said: Say: Glory be to God, and praise be to God, and there is no god but God, and God is most great, and there is no power nor strength except through God. He said: O Messenger of God, this is for God, so what is for me to say? He said: Say: O God, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me. When the man turned away, the Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed, this one has attained all good, or: has learned all good, or something like this.
