✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: "Gather your companions." So I went looking for them in the mosque one by one, waking them, and we came to the door of the Prophet ﷺ and entered. A plate of food, about two mudds of barley, was placed before us. He said to us: "Eat in the name of God." And when the plate was placed, the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is nothing in the household of Muhammad except what you see." We ate until we were full, and some remained of it. We were between seventy and eighty. It was said to Abu Hurayrah: What was it like when you finished? He said: "The same as when it was placed, except that it had the traces of fingers."
