حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، قَالَ: نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ، أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ:
نَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى عِصَابَةٍ قَدْ أَقْبَلَتْ، فَقَالَ: أَتَتْكُمُ الْأَزْدُ أَحْسَنُ النَّاسِ وُجُوهًا، وَأَعْذَبُهُ أَفْوَاهًا، وَأَصْدَقُهُ لِقَاءً وَنَظَرَ إِلَى كَبْكَبَةٍ قَدْ أَقْبَلَتْ، فَقَالَ: " مَنْ هَذِهِ ؟ " قَالُوا: هَذِهِ بَكْرُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " اللَّهُمَّ اجْبُرْ كَسِيرَهُمْ وَآوِ طَرِيدَهُمْ، وَلَا تُرِنِي مِنْهُمْ سَائِلًا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ looked at a group that had approached and said: 'The Azd have come to you, the finest of people in faces, the sweetest in mouths, and the most truthful in meeting.' Then he looked at a crowd that had approached and said: 'Who are these?' They said: 'This is Bakr b. Wa'il.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'O God, mend their broken, shelter their outcast, and do not show me a beggar among them.'
