وَعَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ الْمُجَاشِعِيِّ قَالَ:

أَهْدَيْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ هَدِيَّةً، فَقَالَ لِي: " أَسْلَمْتَ ؟ " قَالَ: لَا. فَقَالَ: إِنِّي نُهِيتُ عَنْ زَبْدِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَرَدَّهَا

Translation

✧ I gave a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said to me: "Have you become a Muslim?" He said: No. So he said: "I have been forbidden the gifts of the polytheists," and he returned it.
