✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent me on an errand for him. Then he encountered me while I was going out on the road to Madinah. He took my hand, and we went off until we climbed Uhud. He turned toward Madinah and said: 'Woe to its mother—a town whose people will abandon it when it is at its most fruitful.' I said: 'O Prophet of God, who will eat its fruit?' He said: 'The birds and beasts of prey will eat it. And the Dajjal will not enter it. Whenever he wants to enter it, an angel will meet him at every one of its mountain passes and turn him back.' Then he turned, and when we were at the door of the mosque, there was a man praying. He said: 'He is speaking truthfully.' I said: 'O Prophet of God, this is so-and-so, the most prayerful person in Madinah.' He said: 'Do not let him hear you, or you will destroy him.'
