حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَرَّةَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعَدَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ، فَسَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ: أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ ؟ " قَالُوا: صَدَقَ، فَأَتَمَّ بِهِمُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ بَعْدَمَا سَلَّمَ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed Zuhr or Asr and gave salutation after two rak'ahs. Dhu al-Yadayn said: Has the prayer been shortened or did you forget? The Prophet ﷺ said: What is Dhu al-Yadayn saying? They said: He has spoken the truth. Then he completed the two rak'ahs with them, then he prostrated two prostrations of forgetfulness while sitting after he had already given salutation.
