✧ Abu Dharr was with a small flock of his in Madinah. When he came, the Prophet ﷺ said to him, “O Abu Dharr,” but he remained silent. He repeated it to him, but he remained silent. He said, “O Abu Dharr, may your mother be bereaved of you.” He said, “I am in a state of major ritual impurity.” He called for a servant girl to bring water for him, and she came to him with it. He screened himself with his mount and performed the ritual bath. Then he came to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, “Clean earth is sufficient for you, even if you do not find water for twenty years. If you find it, then let it touch your skin.”
