حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ الْحَدَثَانِ النَّصْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ:
وَاللهِ مَا أَنَا بِأَوْلَى مِنْ هَذَا الْمَالِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ عَلَى مَنَازِلِنَا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ، وَقَسْمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، مَا أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَّا وَلَهُ مِنْ هَذَا الْمَالِ سَهْمٌ مَعْلُومٌ، أُعْطِيَهُ أَوْ مُنِعَهُ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ مَمْلُوكٌ

✧ By Allah, I am not more entitled to this wealth than any of you, but according to our positions from the Book of Allah and the distribution of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
