machine translationMy father was asked about the hadith of Abū al-Mundhir Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ṭufāwī, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from his father, from Ibn ʿUmar, regarding the saying of God, "Take what is easy [to forgive]" (khudhi al-ʿafw). He said: God commanded His Prophet to take the easy and forgiving part of people's character. Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated it from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from Wahb b.
