وَعَنْ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ: هُوَ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ قَالَ:
غَضِبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَلَى رَجُلٍ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا، حَتَّى تَغَيَّرَ لَوْنُهُ، وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَجُلًا فِيهِ حِدَّةٌ، قَالَ أَبُو بَرْزَةَ: فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ، قُلْتُ: يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ لَئِنْ أَمَرْتَنِي لَأَضْرِبَنَّ عُنُقَهُ، فَكَأَنَّمَا صُبَّ عَلَيْهِ مَاءٌ بَارِدٌ، فَذَهَبَ غَضَبُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، وَقَالَ: " ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ، إِنَّهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ لِأَحَدٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ "

✧ Abu Bakr became very angry with a man, so much so that his color changed. Abu Bakr was a man of sharp temper. Abu Barzah said: When I saw that from him, I said, 'O khalifah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, if you command me, I will strike his neck.' It was as if cold water was poured on him, and his anger left the man. He said, 'May your mother be bereaved of you, Abu Barzah! That is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
