Saʿd b. Abū Waqqāṣ
"عَنْ سَعْدٍ قال: رأيت عَلِيّا بَارَزَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَجَعَلَ يُحَمْحِمُ () كَمَا يُحَمْحِمُ الفرسُ وَيَقُولُ: بَازِلُ ( ) عَامَيْنِ حَدِيثٌ سِنِّى... سَنْحنَحُ ( ) اللَّيْلَ كَأَنِّى حَتَّى لِمِثْلِ هَذَا وَلَدَتْنِى أُمِّى قال: فما رجع حتى تخضب دما".
