"آيَةُ اْلمُنَافق ثَلاثٌ - وَإِن صَامَ وَصَلَّى وَزَعَم أنَّه مُسْلِمٌ - إذَا حَدَّث كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أخَلفَ، وَإذَا ائْتُمِنَ خَانَ"
Translation
from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Three ˹traits˺ that if a man possesses them then he is a hypocrite – even if he fasts, prays, or claims to be a Muslim: one who (1) when he speaks, he lies, (2) when he promises, he breaks it, and (3) when he is entrusted, he betrays."
