"عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ: كَتَبَ (كَاتِبٌ) () لعُمَرَ بْنِ الخطَّابِ: هَذَا مَا أَرَى اللَّه أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرَ، فَانْتَهَرَهُ عُمَرُ وَقَالَ: لَا، بَل اكْتُبْ: هَذَا مَا رَأَى عُمَرُ، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَوَابًا فَمِنَ اللَّه، وَإِنْ كَانَ خَطَأً فَمِنْ عُمَرَ".
