Jami' al-Saghir / Jam' al-Jawami' (al-Suyuti) 15041a

"شَعْبانُ بَيْنَ رَجَب وَشَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ تَغْفُلُ النَّاسُ عَنْهُ يُرْفعُ فِيهِ أَعْمَال الْعِبَادِ فَأُحِبُّ أَلَّا يُرْفَعَ عَملىِ إِلَّا وأَنا صائِمٌ".

Translation

✧ “Sha‘ban is between Rajab and the month of Ramadan; people are heedless of it. In it the deeds of the servants are raised up, so I love that my deeds not be raised except while I am fasting.”
