أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُؤَمَّلِيُّ, ثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ, ثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْفَرَّاءُ, ثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ, ثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ, وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ, أَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ, ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ, حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ, ثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ, عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ, عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ, عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ, عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
قَالَ: تَكُونُ أُمُورٌ مُشْتَبِهَاتٌ فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالتَّؤَدَةِ, فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ تَابِعًا فِي الْخَيْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَأْسًا فِي الشَّرِّ " وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَعْلَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ أُمُورٌ مُشْتَبِهَاتٌ, فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالتُّؤَدَةِ, فَإِنَّكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ تَابِعًا فِي الْخَيْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَكُونَ رَأْسًا فِي الشَّرِّ "
