أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ, أَنَا أَبُو عَمْرو بْنُ مَطَرٍ, نَا أَبوْ خَلِيفَةَ, نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ, أَنَا سُفْيَانُ, عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ, عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ, عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ, عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ, عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْوَجَعَ لَا يُكْتَبُ بِهِ الْأَجْرُ, إِنَّمَا الْأَجْرُ فِي الْعَمَلِ, وَلَكِنْ يُكَفِّرُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا " قَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَحْمَدُ وَقَدْ رُوِّيِّنَا فِي حَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ, عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ, عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ, عَنْ عَائِشَةَ, عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ " فِي حَدِيثِ الشَّوْكَةِ إِلَّا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ " وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الْأَعْمَشِ, عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ, فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ " إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً أَوْ حَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً "

And in the narration of al-Aʿmash, from Ibrāhīm, in this hadith: "...except that Allah raises him a degree by it or removes a sin from him by it."

وَهَكَذَا رَوَاهُ أَبُو وَائِلٍ, وَابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ, عَنْ عَائِشَةَ, بِهَذَا الْمَعْنَى: " وَلَعَلَّهُ يَكُونُ خَطَّهُ, إِنْ كَانَ خَطِيئَةً أَوْ زِيَادَةَ دَرَجَةٍ إِنْ صَادَفَهُ ذَلِكَ, وَالْخَطَايَا مُكَفَّرَةٌ جَمْعًا بَيْنَ الْأَخْبَارِ "
