أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدَوِيُّ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ اللَّخْمِيُّ، نا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، نا سَهْلٌ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ، ح أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ بِهَا، قَالَ: نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، نا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ، نا الْمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، نا سَهْلٌ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ رُسْتُمَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،
قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:" رَدِّدِي عَلَيَّ الْبَيْتَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ قَالَهُمَا الْيَهُودِيُّ"، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: قَالَ فُلَانٌ الْيَهُودِيُّ: [البحر الكامل] ارْفَعْ ضَعِيفَكَ لَا يَحِرْ بِكَ ضَعْفُهُ... يَوْمًا فَتُدْرِكُكَ الْعَوَاقِبُ قَدْ نَمَى يَجْزِيكَ أَوْ يُثْنِي عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّ مَنْ... أَثْنَى عَلَيْكَ بِمَا فَعَلْتَ كَمَنْ جَزَى فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:" قَاتَلَهُ اللهُ مَا أَحْسَنَ مَا قَالَ وَلَقَدْ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِرِسَالَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، مَنْ فُعِلَ بِهِ خَيْرٌ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٌ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِلَّا الثَّنَاءَ فَلْيُثْنِ، فَإِنَّ مَنْ أَثْنَى كَمَنْ كَافَأَ". وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ:" مَنْ صُنِعَ إِلَيْهِ مَعْرُوفٌ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ إِلَّا الدُّعَاءَ وَالثَّنَاءَ فَقَدْ كَافَأَ"
