أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حدثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حدثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْفَرَّاءُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالُوا: حدثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ،
قَالَ: كَانَ رَجُلٌ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ وَعِنْدَهُ فَرَسٌ مَرْبُوطٌ بِشَطَنَيْنِ فَتَغَشَّتْهُ سَحَابَةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تَدنو، وَتَدْنُو وَجَعَلَ فَرَسُهُ يَنْفِرُ مِنْهَا، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: " تِلْكَ السَّكِينَةُ نَزَلَتْ لِلْقُرْآنِ "
