أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ، نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، نَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْبَيْرُونِيُّ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ حَابِسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ،
قَالَ: صَامَ أَبُو مُوسَى حَتَّى عَادَ كَأَنَّهُ خِلَالٌ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: لَوْ أَجْمَمْتَ نَفْسَكَ؟ فَقَالَ: " هَيْهَاتَ، إِنَّمَا يُسْبَقُ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ الطِّمِّرُّ " قَالَ: وَرُبَّمَا خَرَجَ مِنْ مَنْزِلِهِ شَرِيَ رِجْلِكَ فَلَيْسَ عَلَى جَسْرِ جَهَنَّمَ مِعْيَرٌ
