أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْعَاطِسُ يَقُولُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ وَيَقُولُ الَّذِي يُشَمِّتُهُ يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللهُ وَيَقُولُ لَهُ يَهْدِيكُمُ اللهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ فِي الْحَدِيثِ سَيِّءُ الْحِفْظِ وَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْفُقَهَاءِ
Translation

✧ The Prophet, ﷺ, said, "When a person sneezes, he should say 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) for every condition. The one who hears him sneeze should say, 'Yarhamuk Allah' (May Allah have mercy on you).' The one who sneezed should then say, 'Yahdikum Allah' (May Allah guide you) and 'Yuslih balakum' (May Allah rectify your affairs)." Abu Abdullah Rahman Mohammed ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Layla said, "He is not strong in narration, and he has poor memory, and he is one of the scholars."
