We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until, when we were at Dhat al-Riqa, he said: Whenever we came upon a shady tree, we left it for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Then a man from the polytheists came while the sword of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was hanging on a tree. He took the sword of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ and drew it, then said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Are you afraid of me?" He said, "No." He said, "Who will protect you from me?" He said, "Allah will protect me from you." He said: So the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threatened him, and he sheathed the sword and hung it back. He said: Then the call to prayer was made, and he prayed two rakahs with one group, then they moved back, and he prayed two rakahs with the other group. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had four rakahs, while the people had two rakahs.
