أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي قَزَعَةَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ مَا حَقُّ الْمَرْأَةِ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا قَالَ «تُطْعِمُهَا إِذَا طَعِمْتَ وَتَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَيْتَ وَلَا تَضْرِبِ الْوَجْهَ وَلَا تُقَبِّحْ وَلَا تُهْجَرْ إِلَّا فِي الْبَيْتِ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: a man asked him, “What is the right of a woman upon her husband?” He said: “Feed her when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do not strike the face, do not revile, and do not shun except within the house.”
