What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • ابن الملقن

وذكر الخطابي أن في إسناده مقالا والحديث إذا رواه رجل مجهول لم يكن حجة ولم يجب الحكم به

machine translationAl-Khaṭṭābī mentioned that there is some criticism concerning its chain of transmission, and when a hadith is narrated by an unknown man (majhūl), it is not a proof and it is not obligatory to rule by it.

    in سنن النسائي, p. 4891
  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

وفيه ضعف فإن أبا المنذر هذا مجهول لم يرو عنه إلا إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة

machine translationThere is weakness (ḍaʿf) in it, for this Abū al-Mundhir is unknown (majhūl); no one narrated from him except Isḥāq b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Ṭalḥah.

    in سنن النسائي, p. 4891
  • Khaṭṭābī

    في إسناده مقال

machine translationThere is some criticism (maqāl) of its chain of transmission.

    in سنن النسائي, p. 4891
