machine translationIt is narrated by al-Aʿmash, and there is disagreement about it from him. Sharīk narrated it from al-Aʿmash, and there is disagreement about it from Sharīk. Ḥusayn al-Marwadhī narrated it from Sharīk, from al-Aʿmash, from ʿUmārah b. ʿUmayr, from al-Aswad, from ʿĀʾishah. Ḥajjāj al-Aʿwar and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Sharīk opposed him, and narrated it from Sharīk, from al-Aʿmash, from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Al-Thawrī narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Ibrāhīm, from ʿĀʾishah, as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). The closest of these to the correct one is the version of Isrāʾīl and those who followed him from al-Aʿmash.
