  • Muslim

    in سنن النسائي, p. 2517

machine translationIbn al-Jawzī found it defective because of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz. He said: Ibn Ḥibbān said: He used to narrate on the basis of error (wahm), so relying on him as evidence is invalid.

    in سنن النسائي, p. 2517
  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

machine translationIn its chain is ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Dāwūd, and he is weak (ḍaʿīf).

    in سنن النسائي, p. 2517
  • ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. al-Jawzī

machine translationHe found it defective because of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz and said: Ibn Ḥibbān said: He used to narrate on the basis of delusion (tawahhum), so relying on him as evidence is invalid. And in the hadith of Abū Saʿīd, it was only Muʿāwiyah who made the value equivalent in the ṣāʿ; as for ʿUmar, he was too strict in following the transmitted report to do that.
