Zayd from Makḥūl from ʿIrāk from Abū Hurayrah. ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar narrated it from Usāmah b. Zayd from ʿIrāk from Abū Hurayrah, without mentioning Makḥūl between them; this was said by ʿAlī b. Mushir, Yaḥyā b. Abī Zā'idah and Ibn Numayr. Abū Usāmah said, from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar, from one who heard ʿIrāk, and he mentioned neither Usāmah nor Makḥūl. Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar narrated it from Usāmah b. Zayd from Makḥūl: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, as a mursal report. Usāmah also has another chain for it, from Saʿīd al-Maqburī from Abū Hurayrah. Dāwūd al-Qanṭarī narrated to us, Yazīd b. Khālid b. Mawhab narrated to us, Yaḥyā b. Zakariyyā b.
