machine translationʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿUmar narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAwn al-Kharrāz narrated it from ʿAbdah b. Sulaymān, from ʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿUmar, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, and he erred in it. The correct version is from ʿUbayd Allāh, from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayrah. Mālik b. Anas also narrated it, and there is disagreement about him: Makkī b. Ibrāhīm al-Balkhī and Ḥubāb b. Jabalah al-Daqqāq narrated it from Mālik, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, but what is known from Mālik is from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayrah. Fulayḥ b. Sulaymān narrated it from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar; al-Ḥasan b. Muḥammad b. Aʿyan related it from him. Saʿd b. Muḥammad al-ʿAwfī contradicted him and said: from Fulayḥ, from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib, as a mursal report. ʿAbd al-Munʿim b. Bashīr, who was weak (ḍaʿīf), contradicted him as well and said: from Fulayḥ b. Sulaymān, from al-Zuhrī, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ. The correct version is from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayrah.

machine translationThis is a mistake. It is only Mālik, from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Makkī was mistaken in it.
