أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ فَرَغِبَ عَنْهُ رِجَالٌ فَقَالَ «مَا بَالُ رِجَالٍ آمُرُهُمْ بِالْأَمْرِ يَرْغَبُونَ عَنْهُ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِاللهِ وَأَشَدُّهُمْ لَهُ خَشْيَةً»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession in some matter, but some men abstained from it. He said: "What is the matter with men whom I command to do something and they abstain from it? Indeed, I am the most knowledgeable of them about Allah and the most fearful of Him among them."
