أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَشْتَرِطُونَ شُرُوطًا لَيْسَتْ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ مَنِ اشْتَرَطَ شَرْطًا لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ وَإنِ اشْتَرَطَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ شَرْطُ اللهِ أَحَقُّ وَأَوْثَقُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and addressed the people, saying: "O assembly of Muslims, what is the matter with people who impose conditions that are not in the Book of Allah? Whoever imposes a condition that is not in the Book of Allah, even if he imposes it a hundred times, his condition is void. Allah's condition is more deserving and more binding."
