أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ الْوَرَّاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ الدَّيْلَمِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ

كَانَتْ يَهُودُ يَأْتُونَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَتَعَاطَسُونَ رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللهُ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ «يَهْدِيكُمُ اللهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ»

✧ The Jews used to come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and sneeze in his presence, hoping that he would say: “May Allah have mercy on you all.” But he would say: “May Allah guide you all and set right your affairs.”
