✧ What the sneezer says when they are sniffed, and mentioned the disagreement about Mansur bin al-Mu'tamir in the hadith of Salim bin 'Ubayd in that regard

أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَلْيَقُلْ لَهُ مَنْ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ وَلْيَقُلْ يَغْفِرُ اللهُ لِي وَلَكُمْ 9985 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَاسِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ [96] 9986 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ آخَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَعَطَسَ رَجُلٌ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا الصَّوَابُ عِنْدَنَا وَالْأَوَّلُ خَطَأٌ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ 9987 أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُرْفُطَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَعَطَسَ رَجُلٌ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ 9988 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَرْفَجَةَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَسِيرُونَ مَعَ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ نَحْوَهُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: “When one of you sneezes, let him say: ‘Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,’ and let the one who responds to him say: ‘May Allah have mercy on you,’ and let him say: ‘May Allah forgive me and you.’” 9985: Ahmad b. Harb informed us, he said: Qasim narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us from Mansur from Hilal b. Yasaf from a man from Salim from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar. [96] 9986: Muhammad b. Bashshar informed us, he said: Yahya narrated to us from Sufyan from Mansur from Hilal b. Yasaf from a man from another, who said: We were with Salim b. ‘Ubayd on a journey, and he said: We were with the Prophet ﷺ when a man sneezed, something similar. Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman said: “This is the correct version according to us, and the first is erroneous, and Allah knows best.” 9987: Al-Qasim b. Zakariyya b. Dinar informed us, he said: Mu‘awiyah b. Hisham narrated to us from Sufyan from Mansur from Hilal from a man from Khalid b. ‘Urfutah from Salim b. ‘Ubayd, who said: We were with the Prophet ﷺ when a man sneezed, and he mentioned something similar. 9988: Muhammad b. Isma‘il b. Ibrahim informed us, he said: Yazid—who is Ibn Harun—narrated to us, he said: Warqa’ informed us from Mansur from Hilal b. Yasaf from Khalid b. ‘Arfajah that they were travelling with Salim b. ‘Ubayd, something similar.
