✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he was moving his lips, and he said: “What are you saying, O Abu Umamah?” He said: I am remembering my Lord. He said: “Shall I not inform you of something more excellent or more abundant than your remembrance of the night with the day and the day with the night? That you say: 'Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what He has created; Glory be to Allah, (as much as) the fill of what He has created; Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what is in the earth and the sky; Glory be to Allah, (as much as) the fill of what is in the sky and the earth; Glory be to Allah, (as much as) the fill of what He has created; Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what His Book has enumerated; and Glory be to Allah, (as much as) the fill of everything;' and you say: 'Praise be to Allah,' the like of that.” 9922 From Abu al-Tahir Ahmad b. Amr b. al-Sarh, from Ibn Wahb, from Amr b. al-Harith, from Sa'id b. Abi Hilal, from Khuzaymah, from A'ishah bt. Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas, from her father Sa'd, that he entered with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ upon a woman, and in front of her were date stones or pebbles with which she was glorifying (Allah). He said: “Shall I not inform you of what is easier for you than this or more excellent? 'Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what He has created in the sky; and Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what He has created in the earth; and Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what is between that; and Glory be to Allah, (as many as) the number of what He is going to create; and Allah is most great, the like of that; and praise be to Allah, the like of that; and there is no might and no power except with Allah, the like of that.'” (1)
