أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الصَّائِغُ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ فُرَافِصَةَ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ §مَنْ قَالَ

حِينَ يُمْسِي وَحِينَ يُصْبِحُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ شَيْءٌ يَضُرُّهُ فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ أَصَابَهُ الْفَالِجُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ أَخِي أَمَا إِنِّي لَمُ أَكُنْ قُلْتُهَا حِينَ أَصَابَنِي

✧ When evening and when morning comes, three times: 'Glory be to Allah the Magnificent and praise be to Him, there is no power and no strength except with Allah,' nothing harmful would afflict him. Then we entered upon him, and hemiplegia had afflicted him. He said, 'O son of my brother, verily I had not said it when it afflicted me.'
