✧ What the Prophet ﷺ Used to Say When He Woke Up

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ «أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَدِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَمِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ» خَالَفَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ

Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ used to wake up in the morning, he would say, "We have woken up upon the natural inclination of Islam, the word of sincerity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad, and the way of our father Ibrahim who was a monotheist and a Muslim, and I am not from the polytheists."
