✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he prayed ʿAṣr, would go to Banū ʿAbd al-Ashhal and converse with them until he went down for Maghrib. Abū Rāfiʿ said: While the Prophet ﷺ was hastening to Maghrib, we passed by al-Baqīʿ and he said, “Uff for you! Uff for you!” He said: That alarmed me, so I fell back, thinking he meant me. He said, “What is the matter with you? Walk on.” I said, “Did I do something wrong?” He said, “What is that?” I said, “You said ‘uff’ to me.” He said, “No, but this is so-and-so whom I sent as a collector for Banū so-and-so, and he misappropriated a striped cloak, so he is now clothed in the like of it from Fire.”
