أَخْبَرَنَا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْبَاوَرْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ «أَكْرِمُوا أَصْحَابِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَظْهَرُ الْكَذِبُ حَتَّى يَشْهَدَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدْ وَيَحْلِفَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَا يُسْتَحْلَفَ فَمَنْ أَحَبَّ مِنْكُمْ بُحْبُحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمِ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مِنَ الِاثْنَيْنِ أَبَعْدُ وَلَا يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ فَإِنَّ ثَالِثَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ وَمَنْ سَرَّتْهُ حَسَنَتُهُ وَسَاءَتْهُ سَيِّئَتُهُ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ giving a sermon, saying: “Honor my Companions, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then lying will appear, until a man gives testimony without being asked to testify and swears an oath without being asked to swear. Whoever among you loves the midst of Paradise, let him adhere to the community, for Satan is with the solitary person and is farther from two. No man should be alone with a woman, for the third of them is Satan. Whoever is pleased by his good deed and grieved by his evil deed is a believer.”
