أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عُمَرُ بِالْجَابِيَةِ فَقَالَ
قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَقَامِي فِيكُمُ الْيَوْمَ فَقَالَ «أَحْسِنُوا إِلَى أَصْحَابِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَفْشُو الْكَذِبُ حَتَّى يَشْهَدَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى الشَّهَادَةِ لَا يَسْأَلُهَا وَحَتَّى يَحْلِفَ عَلَى الْيَمِينِ لَا يَسْأَلُهَا فَمَنْ أَرَادَ بُحْبُوحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمِ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مِنَ الِاثْنَيْنِ أَبَعْدُ أَلَا لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ ثَالِثُهُمَا وَمَنْ سَرَّتْهُ حَسَنَتُهُ وَسَاءَتْهُ سَيِّئَتُهُ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us in the position I stand among you today and said: “Be good to my Companions, then those who follow them. Then lying will spread, until a man gives testimony without being asked for it, and swears an oath without being asked for it. Whoever wishes to attain the midst of Paradise, let him adhere to the community, for Satan is with the solitary person and is farther from two. Indeed, none of you should be alone with a woman, for the third of them is Satan. Whoever is pleased by his good deed and grieved by his evil deed is a believer.”
