أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَفْضَلُ دِينَارٍ دِينَارٌ يُنْفِقُهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ وَدِينَارٌ يُنْفِقُهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَدِينَارٌ يُنْفِقُهُ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ «بَدَأَ بِالْعِيَالِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best dinar is a dinar a man spends on his family, a dinar he spends on his riding animal in the cause of Allah, and a dinar he spends on his companions in the cause of Allah." Abu Qilabah said: "He began with the family."
