أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ أَنَّ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «حَلَفَ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلُ عَلَى بَعْضِ أَهْلِهِ شَهْرًا فَلَمَّا مَضَتْ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ لَيْلَةً غَدَا عَلَيْهِنَّ» فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّكَ حَلَفْتَ أَنْ لَا تَدْخُلَ عَلَيْهِنَّ شَهْرًا قَالَ «إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ يَكُونُ تِسْعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ swore not to enter upon some of his family for a month. When twenty-nine nights had passed, he went to them in the morning. It was said to him: "You swore not to enter upon them for a month." He said: "Indeed the month may be twenty-nine days."
