أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَأَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟» فِي حَدِيثِ نَافِعٍ قَالَ «فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ ثُمَّ لِيَنَمْ» وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ «فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ لِيَنَمْ»

✧ that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "May one of us sleep while he is in a state of janabah?" In the hadith of Nafi', he said, "Let him perform wudu', then sleep." And in the hadith of Abu Qilabah, "Let him perform wudu' as he does for prayer, then sleep."
