أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ

أَصَابَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ جَنَابَةٌ فَأَتَى عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَتَى عُمَرُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَاسْتَأْمَرَهُ فَقَالَ «يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَرْقُدُ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Ḥumayd b. Masʿadah
  2. Yazīd / Ibn Zurayʿ
  3. Ibn ʿAwn
  4. Nāfiʿ

✧ Ibn Umar had an impurity, so he came to Umar and mentioned it to him. Umar then went to the Prophet ﷺ and consulted him. He said, "Perform ablution and go to sleep."
