أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي جَمِيلٍ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ سَأَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ فَرْجَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأَ»

✧ that Umar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "May one of us sleep while he is in a state of janabah?" He commanded him to wash his private part and perform wudu'.
