أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمُرَ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرِّ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «يُصْبِحُ عَلَى كُلِّ سُلَامَى مِنَ ابْنِ آدَمَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ صَدَقَةٌ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِمَاطَتُكَ الْأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ صَدَقَةٌ وَتَسْلِيمُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ صَدَقَةٌ وَأَمْرُكَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ صَدَقَةٌ وَنَهْيُكَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَدَقَةٌ وَمُبَاضَعَتُكَ أَهْلَكَ صَدَقَةٌ» قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَيَقْضِي الرَّجُلُ شَهْوَتَهُ وَتَكُونُ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ جَعَلَ تِلْكَ الشَّهْوَةَ فِيمَا حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ أَلَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرًا؟» قُلْنَا بَلَى قَالَ «فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا جَعَلَهَا فِيمَا أَحَلَّ اللهُ لَهُ فَهِيَ صَدَقَةٌ» قَالَ وَذَكَرَ أَشْيَاءَ صَدَقَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ «يُجْزِئُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ رَكْعَتَا الضُّحَى»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, who said, “Every day charity is due for every joint of the son of Adam.” Then he said, “Your removing harm from the road is charity, your greeting people is charity, your commanding good is charity, your forbidding evil is charity, and your intercourse with your wife is charity.” We said, “O Messenger of Allah, does a man fulfill his desire and have charity for it?” He said, “Yes. Do you not see that if he placed that desire in what Allah has forbidden him, he would have a burden?” We said, “Of course.” He said, “Then if he places it in what Allah has made lawful for him, it is charity.” He mentioned other things as charity, then said, “Two rak'ahs of the forenoon suffice for all of that.”
